Had an exhausting but fun day yesterday. Sibelius work and composing in the morning. followed by orchestra in the afternoon - tuning to woodwinds, I did think we were all having to tune down from normal... Playing stratospherically up the fingerboard. Then playing guitar until 9 pm with pipers (guitar is not really my instrument but I try). Then out to play at the Canon's Gait. Fiddle all too low from the afternoon. Much retuning required not helped by the changes in temperature etc.
Someone came up to me and said what a beautiful player I was and how they liked to watch my fingers. Felt happy at the compliment. I had been watching her play too - she's good. Back home at midnight , bit to eat, catch up with the news . Bed at 1.30 am. What a great day.
