I went to see Karine Polwart on Wednesday night at Greyfriars Tolbooth. She sang a great range of songs - some quite politically motivated, some about parenthood and some about childhood. This was also benefit concert for the Green Party so things like climate change featured quite heavily in the lyrics. One of the songs was in 5/4 timing - interesting.
She also sang quite a few new songs - new album coming out later in the year - but also some of her old favourites. Here's "Sorry".
It was a good way to unwind after my performances and theory exam at Stevenson. More on that tomorrow.
