I went to a concert of music for Speakers tonight. Eight channels. The programme included: Denis Smalley - Resounding (8 loudspeakers) Jonty Harrison - Undertow (8 loudspeakers) Iannis Xenakis - Concret PH (8 loudspeakers - Ambisonics vers) Mesias Maiguashca - El Nagual - (8 loudspeakers) John Chowning - Phone (4 loudspeakers). Its hard to pick a favourite. However, Jonty Harrison's piece Undertow was very interesting plus he happens to share my name (Harrison) and birthday, 27th April. According to electro:thèque, Undertow was composed in 2007 in the composer’s studio and premiered on June 2, 2007 at Place des Terreaux in Lyon (France) as part of the choreographic project Océan Cité by Compagnie Pierre Deloche Danse. It was commissioned by the Compagnie Pierre Deloche for Océan Cité which also involved composers Bernard Fort, Magdalena Dlugosz, James Giroudon, and Jean-François Estager. electro:theque looks a very cool site which streams electronic music. Although you have to subscribe, Its the only source I've found so far which has Undertow. If anyone knows of a copy of Environs (the album), please let me know
